At just nine years old, Hilde Lysiak is already a journalistic sensation, and now she's set to become a literary and big screen one as well.

The budding reporter hit headlines globally this year when she became the first journalist in her hometown in Pennsylvania to solve a murder case. Breaking the story in her self published paper Orange Street News, which she launched when she was seven, Lysiak - daughter of reporter Matthew Lysiak - captured public imagination around the world with her work. Now publisher Scholastic has acquired the worldwide rights to four books from the passionate crime reporter, who rides around on her pink bike in search of stories, and US film studio Paradigm is in talks for the film rights to the series - called Hilde Cracks the Case - which will be based on the real stories she's broken.
